Meet the co-hosts
Nico Aspinall
Nico loves chatting about all things pensions and investments and leads BNY’s UK workplace pensions business. Nico joined BNY in July 2023 having previously held several roles in Defined Contribution pensions as consultant, asset owner and asset manager, including being the first Chief Investment Officer of The People’s Pension. Nico holds a Master’s from the University of Cambridge in theoretical physics and is a qualified actuary, which perhaps explains the unexpected tangents he takes the podcast down.
Darren Philp
Darren is a self-confessed pensions geek who has worked on pensions policy at the Treasury, NAPF, People’s Pension and Smart Pension. He loves policy and regulatory chat and now has his own consultancy helping companies navigate the complex world of pensions. His favourite hour of the week is his weekly piano lesson, followed closely by recording V-FM and chatting to Nico.
